Baby Shower Party Checklist

A ‘tongue in cheek’ reminder! Why not save the page and print it off?!

  • One to two months before the party (If you’re very organised!):
  • ___Choose the date for the baby shower, check people’s availability.
  • ___Discuss the guest list with Mum-Be (determines size of the party).
  • ___Decide the location (usually someone’s house, but you could always eat out).
  • ___Set the theme, take a look at Baby Shower Themes
  • ___Decide on the type of shower (small, quiet, loud.).
  • ___Plan your activities (or just let it go with the flow).
  • ___Plan your menu (nibbles will do).
  • ___Select the invitations Baby Shower Invitations.
  • Two to three weeks before the party:
  • ___Send your invitations (include directions) and ask for RSVP.
  • ___Order cake (or bake or buy).
  • ___Purchase decorations.
  • ___Think about your menu.
  • One week before the party (Do all the above if you’re not very organised!):
  • ___Beg, borrow, steal(!) chairs, tables, dishes, utensils, etc.
  • ___Check who is coming and that helpers know what they’re doing!
  • ___Start thinking about buying food & drink.
  • ___Confirm reservations (if applicable).
  • ___Buy a film for your camera/ recharge batteries in digital camera.
  • ___Buy a gift for Mum-to-be that’s going to be reminder of the special day/ You may want to think about
  • getting a ‘new mum‘ gift as she wont be pregnant for too long!
  • The day before the party (Panic! If you’ve not done the above!):
  • ___Begin decorating.
  • ___Set up tables, chairs, buffet table, etc..
  • ___Review the games/activities wrap any game prizes.
  • ___Pick up the cake.
  • ___Buy food & drink.
  • The Big Day!
  • ___ Finish decorations & blow up balloons.
  • ___Set out food and drinks, cutlery, crockery, glasses.
  • ___Keep a notebook nearby to write down the gifts received. Also, keep a black bag nearby for the wrapping paper.
  • ___Greet guests at the door with a smile :-)
  • ___Enjoy!
